The overall objective is to improve labour market orientation and access to increase action employment and self-employment skills of youth, women, and long-term unemployed persons in Albania and Montenegro.
Specific objectives
- Establish a training facility for career and employment orientation of youth and unemployed persons in Lezha;
- Foster preparedness to employment by implementing training and employment scheme for youth, women and long-term unemployed persons;
- Intensify the neighborhoods relations between target groups and stakeholders of both areas;
- Enhance awareness among target groups, strengthen
The target groups are:
30 Students from disadvantaged families aged 16-18 years that need transition from school to job market, min 40% female, in both areas;
140 Unemployed youth with or without any profession with fewer access to the labour market;
40 Unemployed women/men, including those living in rural area, with fewer access to the labour market, but engaged in family or community economy;
30-40 Local businesses involved directly in project activities;
16 Staff of Employment Agencies/Office
Final beneficiares
- The families of students and unemployed youth who have limited access to training and employment opportunities in the municipalities of Lezha, Kurbin, Tuz, Plav, Ulcinj, and Podgorica;
- The families of women in rural areas who are developing their family businesses;
- Local businesses not currently engaged in the employment scheme will have access to skilled individuals;
- 2 VET schools from which the students were selected;
- Local communities in general, that will utilize the established training facility.
Expected results of the project:
An established training facility for career orientation and employment
A CareerPro Hub renovated and equipped with furniture and electronic devices for 16 posts
Increased employability, professional and entrepreneurship skills among young people and women
30 persons (16-18 years) in both areas trained on soft skills applying SKYE Club Methodology and digital skills and 16 of them benefitted from internship scheme;
30 tong-term unemployed personstrained on employability skills and hospitality skills from CB in both areas and 17 employed through employment scheme;
40 women/men gained professional skillsin crafts and local products and 30 of them developed business planning skills;
12 artisans and local producers received support togrow and formalise their businesses.
Intensified neighbourly relations between target groups and stakeholders of both CB areas
A joint report on labourmarket analysisfor Programme area is produced;
16 staff from national, regional and local labour offices and project in both areas exchanged knowledge and information;
40 artisans and local producers from both areas promote their products beyond their respective borders.
Enhanced awareness among target groups, strengthened stakeholder partnerships, and effective advocacy for jobseekers’ challenges.
140 jobseekersand 30 businessesare aware of employment services available and strengthen the cooperation with labour offices in both areas;
30-40 businesses and 60 unemployed participated in job Fairs in both areas;
35-40 stakeholders(local authorities, businesses, CSOs) are aware of the challenges and a position paper is prepared and disseminated to decision-makers.
